Elvis loved Gospel more than any other music genre, and Joe was a big part of many of Elvis’ greatest Gospel performances. Elvis loved Joe, and treasured their performances together on stage in Las Vegas and in the studio. “Joe Moscheo was a dear friend of ours and an immensely talented singer, musician and arranger for The Imperials. Joe Moscheo, who sang and performed with Elvis in the 1960s/1970s as part of The Imperials, died on Monday, January 11, 2016. Joe was not only part of the phenomenal group that joined Elvis on stage for his return to Vegas in 1969, he was also part of Elvis’ 1971 gospel recording of “He Touched Me,” an album that earned Elvis his second Grammy Award, Best Inspirational Performance for 1972. ![]()
